Brookline Draws Marshfield

The Brookline Warriors played Marshfield High to a 0-0 tie on Wednesday afternoon at Skyline Park. After winning their season opener the day before against Norwood, the Warriors were hoping to gain more momentum going into their third game of the week against the Walpole Rebels. However, Marshfield’s defense and goalkeeping proved to be a struggle for the Warriors.

Despite multiple mishaps by the Warrior’s attack, the defensive prowess of Oliver Priebe, JK Suh, Theo Yannekis, and Max Rae-Chu proved to be too much for Marshfield to break down helping Eddie Gerschickter to pick up his first regular season shutout.

The Warriors will once again meet up with the Walpole Rebels on Friday afternoon in a rematch from preseason’s Nauset Clash Finals.
